Dear Greenwood Lake Families,

It is with great pride and excitement that I welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year at Greenwood Lake Elementary School! After a wonderful first year as your principal, I feel truly honored to continue serving this community of dedicated educators, supportive families, and extraordinary students. Together, we are building a school where curiosity, kindness, and achievement flourish.

Our theme for this year, “Small Steps, Big Impact,” reminds us that even the simplest actions—acts of kindness, daily effort, and consistent learning—can create lasting change. Each step our students take, whether mastering a new skill, showing compassion for a friend, or trying something challenging, contributes to the growth of both the individual child and our school community as a whole.

With over twenty-three years of experience as an educator and leader, I remain deeply committed to fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where every student feels valued and inspired to learn. At Greenwood Lake, we believe that academic excellence, social-emotional growth, and character development go hand-in-hand. This year, our staff will continue to focus on building strong foundations in literacy and numeracy, while also nurturing creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration.

Family partnership is at the heart of our success. I encourage you to stay connected, celebrate your child’s progress, and engage with our school events and initiatives. Together, we can ensure that every child has the tools, confidence, and support to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
